For our wedding, we chose the Fairmont Hotel because of its beautiful outdoor garden and natural light that spilled indoors to the Colonnade room. With our flower arrangements, Yellow Door captured the essence of a romantic garden setting, bringing a lush, floral feel inside to our ceremony room and ballroom.
Although it was a black tie wedding, we did not want the flowers to be too stiff and formal, our visions became a reality with a very natural and abundant feeling of
controlled elegance.
We wanted many natural shades of pink, accented with yellows, pale greens, and shades of mauve. Every single flower that was used seemed to purposefully create the most enchanting atmosphere. Standing under a chuppah full of beautiful, blossoming flowers and branches was even more
romantic than we had envisioned it could be. My bridal bouquet was the most exquisite grouping of flowers, and they took great care in making sure that it was a perfect compliment to my dress. The bridal party’s bouquets contrasted with mine, which tied everything together perfectly.
They creatively differentiated the ceremony from the cocktail hour and from the reception by playing with different themes within our colors and arrangements, yet the entire day was cohesively tied together as we transitioned from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception.
I was confident from the start that Yellow Door could create what we envisioned, even though we did not know exactly how to articulate our visions to them! They worked with us and ultimately defined our wedding by wowing everyone with the ambience created.
